This handbook is intended to outline the important components of Idaho National Laboratory’s technology transfer process and program. It includes necessary steps to ensure the best possible outcome for inventions made at INL. The guide is organized to help INL inventors answer common questions and to provide basic information about intellectual property (IP), INL’s IP policies and practices, the resources available for technology transfer and the role of the inventor in the process of protecting and commercializing INL innovations.
